If you've never heard of #Polywork - well, it's too late now anyway. They are shutting down in January.
Had an account there, but seriously wondered *why* i had an account there. Never understood the reason the site existed in the first place.

It’s sad to see #Polywork shutting down. I was one of the first users of the platform way back and got to see how it progressed. From a business like network morphing into a website maker that takes your LinkedIn profile and turns it into a professional website.

Real bummer to see #polywork go from a promising LinkedIn-killer to a lame #ai website generator. I was hoping to delete my LinkedIn account someday but today I deleted my polywork account instead 😩

Does anyone here still use #polywork and know how to get the timeline view back?
They removed it recently and posted that they brought back the view last month but I can't see the setting anywhere in the editor

Deleted my #polywork account (https://polywork.com) today -- they swapped from a "Better Version of LinkedIn" to a crappy one-page website builder. No feedback opportunities on deletion so guess I'll just voice it here.
Really odd to go from social network to basic website page. Not at all what I signed up for, and other free platforms are doing it better. And the AI usage is gimmicky. Sorry.

Apparently #polywork decided to change their whole thing from "cooler LinkedIn for professionals to connect" to "crappy single page website builder with a cost and all look the same". Yeah that was an instant account deletion. I'm all set.

Someone on here mentioned #Polywork, a sort of LinkedIn alternative, which reminded me I have a profile page with nothing in it! Like any new social media, it suffers from being new (and therefore tricky to navigate) and struggling to reach a critical mass.
However, it is also a chance for reinvention, an opportunity to take stock and consider where to go, rather than where I have been. I view #mastodon in a similar light.

So… if I got the tl;dr of this #Polywork browser extension right this basically injects their own user profiles into #Twitter profiles by blending into the web page leeching into an existing ~~social~~ corporate network without any proper form of collaboration agreement in the name of early internet nostalgia.
Yes, all with data that is public already including a handy search engine.
That's also some way to federate I guess.
And here I ponder how #GDPR a #Webmention may be while this exists 😜

I've got my #GitHub "verified" (shout out to @shanselman for the idea on how to do it!
Does anyone have any way to verify other social sites so far? I would love to verify my #Polywork, #Youtube and #Linkedin. All have my #Mastodon link on them but as its missing the REL=ME they don't count it seems.
