Poets are Liars

“if poetry genuinely is a truth-telling and poets truth-tellers, it seems important to demonstrate that what we do is falsifiable. What on earth would it mean to ‘lie’ in a poem?”

💔 Love in the Air Chokes Me 💔
Not all love uplifts, some blinds.
This poem questions how lightly we use "love" today, and reminds us what real, raw love truly means.

"My True Self"

Throughout my normal childhood
A silhouette in shadows stood
Beside me as I walked along
The narrow path. It was wrong,
They said, to talk to strangers, so
I acted like I didn’t know.
For forty years, that forced rejection
Blinded me to my own reflection.
