My blow-out has finally healed, but I've lost a LOT of size.

My ears are down from 16mm to 6mm.

Hopefully I'll be able to stretch up quicker this time because it's restretching, but potentially it could take at least 3 months between each size again.. so like 3 years to be back to my actual size again.

I've lost 2mm in my stretched lobes over the last two days, because my immune system is fucking around and my piercings have all gotten grumpy.

I was at 14mm (9/16") heading to 15mm, and now I'm back to 12mm (1/2").

There's this weird thing that happens when I'm chatting with someone and they ask about my piercings and tattoos, where as I'm talking about them I get a bit chuffed..

"hey, I guess I am a bit alternative after all..."

I'm used to seeing a 52 year old look like this, so it feels normal to me.

I popped in to my tattoo place today to chat with the new piercer there and ask her to look at my conch punch because I think it's growing some irritation bumps (I can't see it properly, even in a mirror).

It is—boooo!

She seems amazing though—yay!

We ended up having a long chat about the importance of building up alt community in regional areas, because of the high youth sui rates (especially Aboriginal kids!) and how we were both saved by finding community.

I'm going to book in the next week or so and get a couple more holes jabbed in my ear.. I was wanting to keep working on my ears, but with my regular piercer not really getting to Bathurst much anymore I was out of options.

I'm super glad they're working at Sage now.

It's really nice to pop in to see my tattoo artist and end up getting a bunch of hugs from everyone.

For someone who grew up being very bullied for not being a cool kid or fitting in anywhere, it feels healing.

Now that I have reached my goal of 10mm in my septum, I am left thinking "Dare I go bigger? Was my goal not ambitious enough? Dare I go to 12mm? Where does the madness end???"

I considered a lot of things before I got my eyebrow #piercing.

I failed to consider that it might drive my snuggly #shouldercat into a murder frenzy when the light catches it or when I waggle my #eyebrow wrong during snuggles. Can't really blame the #cat - I basically have a tiny metal bug embedded in my face.

I've had the piercing since Christmas, and only just made the connection. This one's on me.
