"I Will Follow Him" is a #popularSong that was first recorded in 1961 by #FranckPourcel, as an #instrumental entitled "Chariot". The song achieved its widest success when it was recorded by American singer #LittlePeggyMarch with #English lyrics on January 7, 1963. The #music was written by Franck Pourcel (using the #pseudonym J.W. Stole) and #PaulMauriat (using the pseudonym Del Roma). It was adapted by #ArthurAltman.

#PaulMauriat decided to cover #LoveIsBlue simply because it was published by his label, Philips Records... even though he was not fond of the song. A DJ in Minneapolis played the recording and was inundated with phone calls. Interest then quickly spread around the USA and it became a number one hit for 2 weeks in Feb - Mar 1968.
