  1. Following the publication of the 2024-25 Origin Destination Model by the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) last week, here is a seven-year aggregated rail passenger flow for FY2018-19 to FY2024-25 on a simplified centre-line track-model base model.

    This may be of interest as it shows a continuing trend of increasing passenger numbers following COVID.

  2. For those interested in such things, here are four different cuts of the Office of Road and Rail 2021/22 passenger travel data projected onto a shortest-path network using the centre-line track-model.

    These represent the passenger journey numbers either in a colour scale white-to-orange, scaled line width, or both.

    The travel data was kindly provided by Alasdair Rae with the centre-line track-model by Peter Hicks through .
