浮草 | Floating Weeds (Yasujiro Ozu, 1959) Apparently a remake of an earlier film, which some cinephiles prefer. Maybe so, but the colours of 1959 are echanting. A theatre group visits a town during summer and sets in motion a typical #Ozu chain of events featuring jealousy, misunderstanding and the post-war generation gap.
