Recently I went for a walk around Fairfield park, and with my phone GPS tracking with OSMTracker I walked along every track in the park. Now today I've used that data to update the map in #OSMNelson. Here's a before and after.

Finally micromapped Queen's Gardens in #OSMNelson. I collected gps track with my phone and #OSMTracker which informed me what paths exist, but it was very inaccurate so I didn't trace it.
Also made the fountain circle properly #MicroMapped because it'll be beautiful :osm_intensifies:.

Soeben bin ich auf #EveryDoor gestossen und konnte die App antesten. Mittlerweile habe ich einige #MobileMapping Lösungen genutzt und denke das ist eine weitere Ergänzung um schnell mal ein paar Objekte hinzuzufügen.
#Vespucci ist grossartig um mobil beliebige Objekte und Strukturen zu erfassen, aber langsam.
#StreetComplete wiederum perfekt um bestehendes zu ergänzen (vor allem das woran man gerade nicht denkt).
Der Ansatz von #OSMTracker war in ungemaptem Gelände ok.

@elperronegro there are plenty of offline and online (active internet connection required) apps that can aid with your mapping experience.

Definitely would recommend to record all hiking trips, so that you can either upload the GPX file or overlay it in your editor of choice. I currently use #RunnerUp, though have used #FitoTrack and #OSMtracker in the past.

The #OSMWiki has a list of apps that can aid you. (If the ones I suggested disagree with your -case.)

@willrobinson I'm using an #Android app called #OSMTracker which records a GPX file. (I used to use #OSMAnd but that's been more hit-and-miss at recording in the background)

Then I use https://umap.openstreetmap.fr to create my own maps and overlay the tracks on there.

#MappingChallenge (Day 38/50)

Don't know what was up with my GPS today though still was able to map offline via Osmand.

Recently upgraded Osmand to 4.2.6 and love the improvements. It makes mapping so much more user friendly than before. Re-organising the quick actions, side menu, and drawer is golden.

Briefly used #OSMtracker because I had one of those rare situations where I actually needed it.

Just started my training for the #Löwenmarsch on the first Saturday of September. While hiking, I decided to do a 50 day #MappingChallenge. Good thing I mapped a good portion ahead of time in #JOSM, so now I can fill in the details with #StreetComplete.

Started off strong with 5 #Osmand and 225 StreetComplete changes. The map depicts a 12km route with each added note is a way that needs to be mapped. So will get to test #osmtracker.

Jean Marco Rojas, a student at Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, is running a survey to evaluate a possible new feature to #OSMTracker to upload traces to custom repositories and not only to #OpenStreetMap so that a mapping team will be able to manage their traces, for different purposes and later, if they consider it, upload them to OSM.

@toaskoas ich nutze adb-sync generell für Backup vom Smartphone und u.a. auch für meine Tracks von #OsmTracker bzw. Backup von #Osmand-Daten: https://github.com/google/adb-sync

@roland Nicht dafür. Die Community ist sehr cool dort. Ich mache das aus Spaß und weil ich es selber nutze.

POIs anlegen geht mit #StreetComplete immer noch nicht. Aber bestehende ändern geht, zB. ein ehemaliger Bäcker ist jetzt ein Fleischer oder sowas.
Ich mache das mit neuen POIs unterwegs mit #Osmand oder auch mal exotischeres mit #Vespucci (kompizierter).

Wegen zu vielen Notes wurde ich auch schon mal kritisiert. Dafür nutze ich #OsmTracker. Den Export davon kann man in #JOSM laden

Dafür hab ich #OSMTracker installiert wenn ich irgendwo unterwegs bin, wo es noch nicht viel gibt @ESK2DPV7
Zeichne damit meinen Weg auf und mach Fotos wenn ich was sehe was noch nicht in #OpenStreetMap eingetragen oder dort nicht mehr aktuell ist.
GPX exportieren und auf PC übertragen.
Am PC mit #JOSM kann ich das dann direkt öffnen mir anzeigen lassen, eintragen und hochladen.
Hier gibt's noch andere Software (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Category:DE:Software) aber nicht so überfordern am Anfang. Komm langsam an ☺️

#OSMTracker te permite seguir tu viaje y marcar waypoints significativos. Los waypoints pueden marcarse con una etiqueta mediante un botón, con una grabación de voz rápida, una nota de texto o haciendo una foto. Las distintas páginas de botones y los diseños se pueden personalizar para adaptarse a tus actividades en #OpenStreetMap. Puedes ver tu track actual sobre un fondo de #OSM.
