I love riding in freshly fallen snow. The bike paths are mostly cleared of other riders (not of snow, obviously).
A three-wheeled cargo bike like ours isn't affected by the snow in the same way as a regular bike. The /r/cargobike users tend to shit on the stability of three-wheeled cargo bikes (by far the most popular type of cargo bike in Denmark), but in situations such as this they're actually a lot more stable than a two-wheeler.

We had a great autumn sky last evening coupled with this phenomenon that we call "mosekonebryg" in Danish ("brew of the bog wife") which is basically a specific kind of ground mist.
It's not apparent in this photo, but it hung over the area like small clouds about 2-3 meters above ground so you could walk up to it, go under and "touch" it.

We moved to a relatively tiny flat this summer in the outskirts of Copenhagen.
We basically got ripped off compared to anyone who bought a flat in the two preceding decades (nothing to do about that if you wanna live in Copenhagen these days), but I love this area, it's amazing for children, and I *especially* love our view towards the West. So I just deal with the extortionate mortgage.
I've been trying to capture how much it changes. It's so pretty.

Went foraging with my 3-year-old for an hour or so. We found lots of blackberries and two different kinds of plum.

I've hauled maybe 10 loads of random crap during our recent move to southern Ørestad, but this was probably the most visually striking. This Eiffel tower structure was surprisingly stable!
-
I have a nearly 180 degree view towards south from the balcony of our new flat (only slightly obscured to the west by the tower in this photo), so that should make for excellent planet viewing conditions.
Unfortunately, only Saturn will be out tonight (and too late), so I'm looking a bit at the moon instead.

We went to see the bonfire at a Danish midsummer celebration (Sankt Hans), the first one I've attended with my children.
As we were leaving, I was delighted to note the cargo bikes parked around the area. It must have been ~100 bikes, this is just a small selection.

I took a walk in the sun right after dropping off my daughter and noticed that one of the nearby parks now also has an "Insect Safari" as an activity for children.
Basically, they repurposed a bit of the park to be more suitable for the local insects and then put these small magazines nearby where you can cross off any of the insects you might find in the area.
I think I'll bring my son here one day to try it out.

This weekend, my son and I went on a cargo bike adventure with a friend who brought his 1-year-old in a used bike trailer he recently acquired.
We spent some hours at Nature Centre Amager before heading out for a ride in Kalvebod Fælled (partially flooded this time of year) and back to Ørestad again.
It was his first time doing something like this and his daughter was pretty ecstatic too. Weather was amazing, obviously, which helps.

My son started kindergarten this week. Our new commute is quite a winter wonderland!🌲❄️

Went on the first proper cargo bike trip in quite a while with my soon-to-be-3-year-old son safely stashed in the front.
Since we've just passed winter solstice, it is basically golden hour during most of the day in Copenhagen... if the sun wants to come out, that is.
Not too many people out and about despite the fantastic weather. Guess everyone is busy with their last-minute Christmas shopping (we celebrate on the 24th).

It's been overcast and/or raining for the past month, so we haven't been out on any cargo bike adventures.
Yesterday afternoon, the sun was still up when I went to pick up my son, so we went on a little ride in our neighbourhood while the sun was setting.
"I like the sun" he kept saying from underneath the canopy. I think he must have missed it too.

Today's brief cargo bike adventure...
After picking up my 2-year-old from daycare, we went to check out a newly constructed tower close to where we live (only accessible by bike or on foot).
The tower has been under construction ever since we moved to this part of Copenhagen back in January, so I'm happy it's finally finished. It serves both as a lookout tower as well as a gate from the Ørestad district into Kalvebod Commons.

The #balconygardening experiment is successful. Starting to see some fruits of my labour (literally).
This part of #Copenhagen (#Ørestad on #Amager) is particularly windy, so I'm just happy the stuff is still around for me to take pictures.

Summer starts the day you take the canopy off the cargo bike!

After picking up my son from the nursery, we went on a proper cargo bike adventure to explore a mysterious ship located just south of Ørestad, Copenhagen.
I've been wanting to check out this structure ever since we moved to the neighbourhood in January, but the water in the low-lying area around it has only recently evaporated.

Området omkring DR Byen metrostation er åbenbart blevet et sansende væsen.

Some months ago we moved to the Ørestad district of Copenhagen. I really like the paved bike paths that cross these large wetlands (our new backyard), quite different from the dense city streets of Nørrebro.
Whenever the sun is out (and his midday nap is over), I often ride here with my son. Whenever he is out in nature he will start pointing at stuff around him and say "play! play!", which is awesome for a child growing up in a city.
-
More cargo bike adventures with my son. We went straight to the local Kalvebod Commons after I picked him up from the nursery.

I live in #Copenhagen (#Ørestad) with my wife and toddler son. I spend most of my day either on my computer or my #bicycle.
I work in #Danish #academia within the area of #LanguageTechnology using—pretty much exclusively—the #Clojure #programming language to get the job done. I am also becoming quite familiar with #RDF #KnowledgeGraph tech.
In the not so distant past I lived in northern #China. I also speak & read #Chinese, although I must admit that it's pretty rusty now.
