A little bit more effort, and a bit of tailwind gifted me an extra two minutes on Monday’s time. The first 30 minutes were very wet but the rest was lovely. I think without this commute I would really struggle to manage my anxiety.

Dampness in the air and greasy roads but the rain had been and gone. Almost no wind, fastest ride I’ve done on this route apparently… pic taken 3/4 of the way to the office: Coros Dura still proving effective.

I decided today would be purely a #commute ride. A good time to test not* riding in cropped baggy cargo trousers (my usual for comfy city #cycling). I haven't been wearing jeans 👖 because they don't have the right kind of pockets for my phone, even for my wallet (without risk of anything falling out while I'm riding) and they can get caught in the crank set thingy.
So I settled for this combo: jeggings 👖 , light hoodie with zippered pockets 👍, dri-fit 👕 (as usual, I'll be covered up 🧥 anyway).

It's been very gloomy the past few days. Major rain dump. 🌧️🌧️🌧️ I'm enjoying the #rain and the cool temperature, though I bet they bring grief to others.
I'm avoiding oh-good-grief incidents by not doing any riding 🚲 -- there's a lot of splatter and sprays going on in the streets. 💦😳

Quiet Day
It has been a quiet Tuesday, apart from the huge thunderstorm that rolled through this afternoon and almost drown the entire state. There was some minor flooding on route 128 during my drive home. Just the odd lane that had a couple of inches of standing water. Just enough to make you think you were going to hydroplane your way right off the road.
Other than that, work was okay. The Red Sox 14 game winning streak is safe for the day as they were rained out. Bummer. I worked on some music for the 50 songs in 90 Days Challenge.
Mostly I am just starting to get psyched up for next week. I took the week off. Partly so we could go see Rush in New York, but that is only a couple of days. The rest of the time is just because my company has a max on the amount of Personal Time Off you can carry and I was just about to hit that max. Use it or lose it, you know? I’ve already worked my two days in the office so the last three days before my time off will all be working from home. I like the sound of that.
So for the most part, today has just been a kinda nothing day in a good way. Here’s hoping for more of the same tomorrow.
