So now I have a Storage Box from #Hetzner mounted to a PBS VPS as a #CIFS mount. This thing works faster than I expected, without issues so far. Will see how it goes.
Also, 1TB for € 3.20 is quite a good price. Cheaper than #Backblaze. And I can mount that storage to #HomeAssistant as a backup target as well.

Tonight's home lab adventure: working with Kubernetes to get off-site backups working via a cron jobs, my NAS, and a sync agent to push that up to the cloud.
As an added bonus, I had to configure a service account so that the backup container can `kubectl exec` into the Paperless container to run document_exporter, which then taught me more about roles and service accounts.

Boy, does a massive chunk of the Internet not realize that unlimited bidirectional gigabit Internet is not actually feasibly available for huge swaths of the population...
The closest I can get is 2000/200Mbps for $156/month through Comcast. And I'm in a fairly densely populated area.
(1000/100Mbps is $146/month, but the extra upload alone is probably worth the $10, even with just Gigabit networking in my house.)

What do folks like for Linux offsite backup providers?
I have a Linux desktop with 1-2 TB of data that I want backed up on someone else's servers. I'm currently using Crashplan but my primary use case is data corruption which leads to lost files, and crashplan won't show me a list of recently deleted files that I need to restore. (also they're more business than individual focused now)
Willing to pay, looking for recommendations.
