NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR MARCH 6, 2026:
The #fog and #freezing #drizzle will persist across the #Northland Thursday night, especially near #LakeSuperior, with low #temperatures in the 20s and low 30s.
A #storm system will bring increased #rain #shower chances Friday with light #winds and highs in the upper 30s and 40s. #Precipitation becomes a mix of rain, #sleet, and #snow by Friday night.

It is a #colder but #seasonal day in the region thanks to persistent #cloud cover and #fog near #LakeSuperior.
That fog and the #freezing #drizzle it contains will create some #slick spots on area roadways and surfaces through tonight.

The #fog coming from #LakeSuperior is covering more areas of the #Northland as we go into Wednesday night. It will persist through Thursday morning.
#Temperatures are also below #freezing, so the #drizzle could make surfaces and roadways slick in spots.

A #clipper system will bring scattered light #snow #showers through the #Northland Wednesday night. #Winds will be a bit #breezy with low #temperatures in the upper half of the teens.
Thursday will see #drizzle and #flurries during the daytime, with more snow showers at night. Highs #warm to the 30s with a breeze persisting.

#Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and low 30s for lows, with 30s for highs. They will be #cooling quickly as #winds become quite #breezy from the north by Tuesday afternoon.

MESSY CLIPPER SYSTEM:
The #Northland will have to deal with a mix of #snow, #sleet, #freezing #rain, and freezing #drizzle Monday night and Tuesday.
Most of us will see a bit of snow and #ice accumulation.
The South Shore Snowbelt region will see lake effect snow #showers, increasing their #snowfall totals through Tuesday night.

Most of the #Northland will see #dense #fog tonight and Thursday morning. Don't be surprised if the advisory expands into northwest #Wisconsin.
I'm not too worried about #freezing #drizzle due to the #mild #temperatures, but it is still possible.

A “#January Thaw” weather pattern takes hold over the #Northland the next several days.
Patchy #fog Tuesday night will contain #freezing #drizzle with lows in the teens and low 20s.
Wednesday will see the #sunshine return with some #cloud cover and fog. A southwest #wind will help to #warm #temperatures to the 30s for highs.

As a #storm system passes to the south of the #Northland Monday night, everyone will have to deal with #dense #fog that will contain #freezing #drizzle.
Those south of Highway 2 will have to deal with possible freezing #rain #showers.
Overall, it will be #slick to drive around the region through Tuesday morning.

It may not be easy with the #BeaverMoon, but tonight is the best night for viewing them. Our next #storm system will block them out the next few days.

A #Flash #Flood #Warning is in effect for central #Bayfield County through most of this evening.
#Rainfall totals of 1.5" to 4" have fallen so far, with more rain coming through the #Northland.
This area includes Highway 2 between Iron River and #Ashland.

Thanks to a #lake #breeze, most of us are enjoying a #cool day with some #drizzle and #fog in the #TwinPorts.
However, the #heat and #humidity is building in the southern region of #Pine and #Burnett counties, and eventually #Washburn and #Sawyer.
Heat #Advisory alerts are in place through Wednesday, where it could feel around 100°.
