The #Northland remains seasonally #mild for #August standards with low #temperatures Monday night in the 50s and low 60s, with highs in the 70s and 80s. It will be a bit #humid, but offset by a light east #wind.
A #storm system to our south will bring a few #showers and #thunderstorms at times, but the overall #dry trend of recent days will continue.

FLOODING CONCERNS CONTINUE:
The #Arrowhead portion of the #Northland remains under a #Flood Advisory through most of Wednesday for minor #flooding possible along waterways.
The South Kawishiwi River southeast of #Ely will be in flood stage starting Wednesday, and continue through the weekend.
Any flood stages are likely to be minor, but be aware of any closures to roads and trails.

NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR MARCH 30, 2026:
The #Northland will be #dry Sunday night with a mix of stars and #clouds and light #winds. Low #temperatures will be #mild in the 20s and low 30s.
Monday will see a few #snow #showers near the Canadian border as a #breeze develops. Highs will range from the 30s and 40s near #LakeSuperior, to the 50s and 60s further inland.

A line of #showers have expanded over the #Northland, focusing on northwest #Wisconsin and the #Arrowhead regions.
We will see this line pass through this evening, with a break for most of us from the #rain later tonight.

The southern most #thunderstorm in this line passing through the #Arrowhead portion of the #Northland is still showing signs that it could be producing #hail up to 1-inch in diameter and #wind gusts up to 60 mph.

The cold front pushing through the #Northland is starting to spark off another round of #showers and #thunderstorms in the #Arrowhead region.
A few #storms could have gusty #winds and small #hail through the evening hours.

NEW CLIPPER SYSTEM:
A new #clipper #system will pass through the #Northland Tuesday and Wednesday.
The majority of the #snow #showers will be east of Highway 53.
Highest #snowfall totals will be in the #Arrowhead and #UpperPeninsula regions.

SNOWFALL RECAP:
The #Northland saw one of its biggest widespread #snowfall this #winter season this past weekend.
Highest totals look to have occurred from #BayfieldPeninsula west through the #TwinPorts and into northern Aitkin County.
Why not the #Arrowhead? #Convergence zone that was forecast to take place there stayed just a bit farther east over #LakeSuperior. Sorry.

NORTHLAND FORECAST FOR DECEMBER 9, 2024:
A #storm system will bring a wet and heavy #snowfall to the northern half of the #Northland through Monday. Expect 4 to 12 inches for the #RainyRiver Basin and #Arrowhead regions.
#Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 20s and 30s, but a #breeze picks up as #snow #showers move out. That will cool them below #freezing by Monday evening.

HOW WINDY & SNOWY WAS THIS WEEK:
Wednesday was #windy across the #Northland. Big #storms will also bring the #gales along #LakeSuperior, but It isn't often that we see gusts over 40 mph away from the lake.
It's also been #snowy in some spots this week. The #Arrowhead and #SouthShore snowbelt regions saw the highest #snowfall.

WINDY NEXT STORM SYSTEM:
#Winds across the #Northland will be quite breezy as the #rain falls. They will be sustained at 15 to 25 mph.
#Gusts will be over 30 mph, while the #Arrowhead, #TwinPorts, and parts of the South Shore will see gusts of 40 to 50 mph.

A line of #showers has been working its way through the #Northland, first impacting northwest #Wisconsin and the #UpperPeninsula.

Most of the #Northland is seeing the #rain this late evening hour. A few spots in the #Arrowhead and northwest #Wisconsin are getting a decent soaking.
The #showers will move out of the region from west to east over the next several hours.
