Scattered #showers and #thunderstorms continue across the #Northland. A few may have small #hail. Some are not moving much, bringing a decent #deluge.
The #precipitation threat will continue through the evening hours.

MIXED PRECIPITATION THREAT:
A quick moving #storm system will bring a mix of #snow, #sleet, #freezing rain, and #rain through the #Northland Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Expect #slick road conditions for the morning commute, along with #breezy winds and #cool #temperatures.

It is a #colder but #seasonal day in the region thanks to persistent #cloud cover and #fog near #LakeSuperior.
That fog and the #freezing #drizzle it contains will create some #slick spots on area roadways and surfaces through tonight.

The #Winter #Weather #Advisory for Monday night and Tuesday morning has been expanded to cover more of the #Northland.
The main point to pass along is #slick road conditions as mixed #precipitation moves through the region.

After a #slick start to the day, we are seeing #weather conditions improve from west to east.
It also helps to get rid of any #ice with #temperatures nearing the #freezing point.

FOGGY & SLICK:
As a #storm system passes to the south of the #Northland Monday night, everyone will have to deal with #dense #fog that will contain #freezing #drizzle.
Those south of Highway 2 will have to deal with possible freezing #rain #showers.
Overall, it will be #slick to drive around the region through Tuesday morning.

A closer look shows a...possible #waterspout?
I'm not too familiar with cold weather waterspouts, but it does look like it.

LAKE VERMILLION WATERSPOUT:
Thanks to colder air aloft in the #Northland and light #winds at the surface, conditions were right for a #waterspout to form on #Lake #Vermillion this afternoon.
The National #Weather Service says it likely stayed over open water and caused no damage or injuries.
