#NGPVAN really doesn't want to add you to their block list because they make a fee for every email they send on behalf of candidates. So they are sneaky. Once you send your opt-out they'll reply from a different email trying to dissuade you, one more click to be done with them.

Tired of solicitations #NGPVAN? I've found a solution!
They're quick to tell you email lists are provided by candidates, and they are just a service. They'd rather you have to manually unsubscribe from every rando in every race across the country who has bought/sold your contact info.
But you can blanket opt-out of NGPVAN's service: Email [email protected] with subject Opt Out.

It's good to see someone with experience and a large following raising the issue of the abusive level of #Democratic #fundraising (and the opportunistic #ParasiticPACs scamming people).
And I like that Pfeiffer highlights some things we all can do to highlight it.
I'd add NGP VAN to the list of entities that could help manage this. I unsubscribe from campaign emails daily - almost all are via #ngpvan. You'd think they'd figure out a way to do a global unsubscribe from fundraising emails. There's almost no meaningful content in campaign emails or texts, just $ asks

Fun story: I'm getting political emails from the mayor of KC, MO. I don't live in KC-proper. Never have, don't care to. Never signed up or gave him money.
When I click unsubscribe, it doesn't work because one of my various bad traffic filters jumps in and kills the connection. Totally checks out and smells of NGPVAN. Who, for the record, can go to hell.

Please tell me there’s some way I’ve missed to opt out of #ActBlue and #NGPVan automatically subscribing me to every *#%^&^! Democratic Congressional Campaign’s mailing list simply because I had the nerve to support and want to hear from candidates in my own state & district.
No, I don’t want to “chip in” to random dude running in Colorado or elsewhere. I’m tired of playing Unsubscribe whack a mole.

This is funny for multiple reasons. I used the dilinger-huge email address when I donated to Huge Ma's campaign for a NY state office:

At that time, I would've given my NY address with the donation. The absolutely shitty Dem donation machinery then swept up my email address, paired it with an old Seattle address, and gave it to a Seattle politician running for office.
