bios update failed. PC did not boot anymore.
For the rescue came the dual bios.
Because of this shock, I had to order a new graphics card.

Did not go crazy though, less expensive than a good mature whisky.

Today I broke staging (again) because of a filesystem case-sensitivity mismatch between my dev machine and the server. Are there downsides to reformatting my laptop with a "APFS (Case-sensitive)" filesystem?

As an Academic Nerd, if someone challenged me to a duel and I couldn't run or talk my way out of it, I'd try choosing "Statistical Analyses with R" as the weapon.
The problem is that, as an Academic Nerd, it's very likely that whoever challenged me to the #duel would also be an Academic Nerd, and therefore might have enough proficiency in statistical analyses with R to kill me.

Today I get to spend the morning upgrading my firewall. I spent money on a commercial device so I wouldn’t have to get down in the weeds, but evidently the version I bought came with the EFI boot partition set too small to run the update. In spreadsheet hell. Someone decided that an embedded html table in the first cell of this row would be a neat idea. It is not. Nothing about this is normalized and its taken me all day to undo this for 3k records to make it usable. If anyone knows how to tease about multiple <td> tags into columns, I would love you to pieces. #data #nerdproblems

I like how the quality of my #SuperShotgunSaturdays posts are increasing with each week. The ultrakill post used online gif converters and compressors, the Quake post used ffmpeg, but is 10fps. Future posts will be 24! Just need to figure out how to get smaller file sizes...

I’m looking for a cute bluetooth keyboard and the thing that makes it so difficult is I want fun aesthetics, but legit functionality.
Like I love the whole #Kawaii vibe, but I’ve noticed in review videos, the girls who enjoy that aesthetic are not also #nerds 😂 so they aren’t often as focused on the technical aspect of the technology. I need both! #nerdproblems

The artificial divisions in my sorting system I placed between Imperialism/Colonialism, and Marxism/Economics are not interfering with my ability to collect books because I've read enough of the books to know they're not separate things now.
