Well I am not convinced #nativists change their spots..... it was never the educated, globetrotting people who resented furriners coming here talking funny on the trains and cooking smelly food - it was the little people whose idea of travel is a package holiday to a beach

They are still there....any suggestion FOM might return will get them voting to prevent it

Well to matter at all in any way it must get elected

The marginalised are a small % of electorate - #labour must get support of more than any other party to gain power - or it is not a political party but a talking shop.

I don't know what's required for that - I only know they did not win any of the last 4 elections

I too am disturbed by trimming to placate #nativists & statements about thatcher excluding reference to the ills she spread - but if that is the price of victory...

I think it is anti-furriner generally - possibly excepting wealthy white US/SAfrica/Canada/NZ/Australians of course-

I am not sure it is much more than a desperate attempt to engage #nativists despite the total failure of #brexit

All decent people abandoned voting for them a while back

I think #illegalMigrationBill is the perfect tag...... since this bill is indeed illegal under international treaty and is just there to boost #toriesOut support, not to actually do anything about the migrant "crisis" - after all if that were gone what would the #toriesOut have left to appeal to their post 2016 base of #farRight #nativists ?

economic competence?
stewardship of the NHS?
high standards in public office?
low taxes?

No PM should ever hold a referendum on something they do not want to happen - it was #cowardice not to stand up to #farage and the far right #nativists

He so wanted to get a majority he lost any judgement he had - the entire #cameronToryEra has been dismal and an indictment of his #stewardship
