In the mid 1980s, I almost passed out crossing a street after selling plasma. I knew how to care for myself, and I obviously survived. Plus, it was my fault, because I was nursing my second child. My no-good ex was scared of needles.

I don't know about #Canada, but here in the #US, people sell #plasma to survive.

Outlawing payment for plasma would be devastating for #publicSchool #teachers in #Texas, because my fellow #Texans elected nincompoops to #state #Government.

While #Utah requires that #PublicSchool students have 2 doses of the measles, mumps & rubella #vaccine [#MMR], parents can opt out of those requirements for personal, religious or medical reasons. In the 2024-25 school year, about 11% of kindergartners had exemptions or were missing documentation to show they were vaccinated against #measles, up from about 7% before the Covid-19 pandemic. Vaccination rates need to be above about 95% to stem the spread of the #virus.
