Mit dem Preview Update #KB5074105 lässt Microsoft den Support für ältere Drucker, die nur V3- und V4-Druckertreiber nutzen, auslaufen. Man setzt ab Windows 11 24H2 auf IPP und #Mopria kompatible Drucker. Wenn man dann keine alten Treiber mehr hat ...

Alle Chromebooks unterstützen #Mopria, das scheint ein neuer Standard zu sein. Mein neuer Epson-Drucker scannt und druckt einwandfrei.

Microsoft is deprecating third-party printer drivers for #Windows via Windows Update and is moving to the #Mopria standard via IPP. [1]

They published a roadmap of this plan:

J'ai reçu mon imprimante laser Brother DCP-L2530DW. J'ai configuré le wifi.

Et sans *rien* faire de plus, l'imprimante est apparue sous Linux et je peux imprimer direct.

Ah oui, et sans rien de plus, je lance l'outils pour scanner des documents et il trouve immédiatement le scanner.

Voilà

Ce n'est pas une légende.
