Today is #did again and I've reached D for #Duolingo: #MONDLY has a large selection of languages (but not quite as large as Duolingo) and even a free version with advertising. Mondly is from a Romanian company (which, however, belongs to a UK company), so I'm going to start with #Romanian. 🇷🇴 #iDIDit #languages #dutgemacht

@lufthans I recently started using #Mondly, which seems pretty good so far. I've also tried #Ling and #Memrise in the past year.

@morethanevil Erfreulicherweise lief mein Duolingo-Abo gerade aus. Drops nutze ich schon, ausserdem Lingvist (zum Vokabellernen meine erste Wahl). Ich würde mal Aimigo ausprobieren, die haben aber nur 3 Tage Probe-Abo (find ich etwas kurz). Hat jemand Erfahrung damit, oder mit Mondly? Od júna pracujem v novej firme. Od apríla sa učím nový jazyk 🇫🇷, s novou appkou #Mondly. Dnes som uzavrel všetky lekcie úrovne Začiatočník s plnými ⭐.

133 dní, približne 50 hodín, 3 tisíc slov a 3 tisíc fráz, čo je asi 22 minút denne (A práve toľko slov a fráz. To vždy poteší #OCD srdce 😂)

Po zmene v júni sa moje tempo znížilo, začiatok v novej práci je ťažký, dokonca som jeden deň pretrhol šnúru ani neviem ako.

A vlastne sa len chválim 🤣 Od zajtra prepínam na Pokročilý 😜 #bragging

Is the #mondly language learning app any good? They have a very cheap offer right now, but they support a huge amount of languages which is suspicious.

Given the #enshitification of #duolingo I've decided to switch to something else. Babbel doesn't support #japanese. I tried #mondly but didn't like it. #busuu looks good so far.

Other suggestions are welcome. I want enough #gamification to push me to keep at it without being distracting, support for learning both written and spoken Japanese including kanji. Learning grammar, not just vocabulary and stock phrases.

@greenexpanse For some languages #DuoLingo provides some basic explanation that helps here and there. But I agree - you have to infer a lot.

That's why I bounce around among several language learning apps - DuoLingo, #Babbel, Drops, Mango, #Mondly, and #Memrise. All have their strengths.

Personally I find Babbel and Mango are the most comprehensive.
