  1. Loving my #Moergo #Go60!

It’s my first ortholinear ánd staggered keyboard with thumb clusters for most of the functional keys, so it’s a lot of ‘getting used to’.

But after a few days of use, I’m really noticing the benefits, also some hidden gems 💎, like arrow navigation as a second layer (‘symbolnav’). The slow typing *is* frustrating, but that will soon improve (I hope). My daughter loves the RGB effects 🌈
  2. @zekjur Have you tried the #MoErgo #Glove80? In my opinion it’s the best keyboard out there with the historical Kinesis geometry. The thumb clusters, in particular, are a big improvement.

  7. TLDR: Anyone got a good resource on keyboard-centric Windows workflows?

I - as a lot of us - have to use a #Windows machine for work. Due to being an old man I struggle with elbow and wrist pain and therefore bought a #MoErgo #Glove80 keyboard. That has helped but comparing to my i3wm tiling setup I use for #linux I would like to go down a keyboard-centric approach to using Windows. Alt-tab doesn't really do the trick. Anyone got a good blog post / video / whatever to share?

IIRC, they said having LEDs anywhere else than under the keycaps would have made the keyboard even bulkier than the keywells already force it to be. I found that argument convincing.

Also, in using a Glove80 as my daily driver for several years (since the Kickstarter), I can say I don't miss the LEDs at all. YMMV, of course.

  14. I'm a little confused why you'd produce a 300+ EUR #keyboard and not add any LEDs to indicate what layer is activated.

  19. I use a #glove80 from #moergo and it has been an amazing keyboard. I live in Portugal however and often need to type symbols that are not standard on a US english keyboard. I have solved this somewhat by changing Linux to English - International which gives me the ability to use the right alt key and have access to additional symbols like €.

What I'd like though is #keycaps to match that layout, ideally as a set, so I can see the symbols. Ideally shine through.

    Suggestions?

  24. I was a little surprised to get a delivery today, I didn’t expect any delivery companies to be working on Christmas. My Christmas gift to myself arrived a few minutes ago, a #moergo #glove80 keyboard!

  28. I also figured out how to map a custom copy (tap) and paste (long press) button on my Glove80, and now I need an entirely new kind of Astro sticker sheet I think! #Glove80 #MoErgo

Definitely! There are many #Linux users on the #MoErgo Discord community.

#Glove80 doesn't use special drivers or dongles, it's just USB HID spec compliant over either USB or BLE.

If you're wondering about how configuring the keymap works: there's a vendor-hosted webapp which spits out the firmware file. Installing that is just like putting the file on a USB stick. (Alternatively, you can build the #ZMK-based firmware yourself.)

Oh, they *are* available: at resellers. Here's the listing at SplitKB (that's EU, but there are also UK and US resellers that I don't know offhand).

    splitkb.com/products/moergo-mc
Can't seem to make the link include the version selection though.

Regarding #MoErgo's own shop: they said they have stock, but didn't yet get around to loading it into the shop system & setting up the fulfillment warehouse. For some strange reason they seem to concentrate on shipping the keyboards. 🙃

  43. Here's a fresh #Glove80 review by Kristina Panos:

    hackaday.com/2023/03/22/glove8

"I dig this #keyboard a lot. I think it works quite well for small hands, but I doubt that medium hands would feel cramped at all. (...)

Although I must disclose that I received this as a free sample for review, I would absolutely spend the money on one. It seems that #MoErgo really did think of everything when it comes to ergonomic portability, and it shows."

    - Tenting kit
    - Palm rests
    - Custom mounting support
    - Support for alternative layouts such as Dvorak/Colemak
