First I exchanged switched to pudding Keycaps, then to switches to different silent switches I have tried. Still I like low profile, therefore I switched to middle profile pudding keys and white berry profile keys from. Nuphy. The keys feel a bit low force at the end and therefore perhaps short? The caps profile could be a bit more cylindrical. The texture is a bit ruff. Height difference between

La réponse de #Dygma suite au cassage du connecteur USB de mon clavier : « Si vous savez utiliser un tournevis, on vous envoie un nouveau PCB de suite, simple et facile. Si vous voulez pas, on peut faire toute la procédure où vous renvoyez le clavier par DHL mais ça va être long et ennuyeux. Dans tous les cas, c’est gratuit pour vous ! »

Bon, le phrasé était un peu plus diplomate que ça mais j’adore ce genre de support ou on t’aide à réparer au lieu de te prendre pour un abruti.

Ok, je suis dans la merde profonde. Ça fait à peine 6 mois que j’utilise un clavier #dygma Defy pour taper en #ergol et la prise USB de la partie droite vient de casser.

C’est un niveau irréparable pour mes compétences inexistantes en soudure (et puis, quelle patte vers quel connecteur ?)

Ça m’inquiète également sur la fragilité du bazar vu que j’en suis devenu extrêmement dépendant.

UPDATE: Dygma m’envoie un PCB de rechange couvert par la garantie !

Update nach ca. 5 Monaten mit der #Dygma Defy ⌨️ Bin immer noch sehr zufrieden: Mein Tastaturlayout habe ich noch weiter entwickelt und gerade habe ich Taster eingebaut, die weniger Druck benötigen.

Die Haltung der Hände ist dank Teilung/Anwinkelung deutlich ruhiger und entspannter, wobei die Tastatur zum effizienten 10-Finger-System zwingt 😉 Schreibgeschwindigkeit ist gefühlt wieder voll da bzw. durch die bessere Haltung sogar höher als vorher.

Habe einige "Tastenkombinationen", die ich nicht mehr her geben möchte: Umlaute haben z.B. keine eigenen Tasten, sondern werden über kurz gedrückt gehaltene a/u/o eingegeben. Finde ich deutlich intuitiver!

"q" gedrückt halten ergibt "@", beim "f" wird automatisch "Strg+f" gesendet. Dazu eine extra Taste für kopieren/ausschneiden/einfügen und eine, die "Strg+z" und "Strg+y" sendet.

Alles häufig genutzte ist direkt verfügbar, den Nummernblock und einige Sonderzeichen habe ich auf andere Ebenen verbannt.

Les utilisateurs de claviers splittés, vous avez des conseils pour la configuration de vos touches de pouce ?

Je suis pas encore super satisfait de la mienne, j’ai encore trop de touches différentes.

Vous pensez que space/shift on hold, c’est une bonne idée ? Et le enter/ctrl on hold ? J’hésite également à virer l’esc car j’utilise spontanément celui sous l’auriculaire gauche.

Note: la touche jaune "2" active la layer de navigation vimesque inspirée par @fabi1cazenave

Second toot en #ergol. Suis convaincu par la touche morte et les chiffres en accès direct. Suis encore perdu dans les touches de pouce de mon #dygma. Vous les configurez comment vous ?

Premier toot en #ergol sur un clavier #dygma defy et première session #offpunk. Ça va pas être de tout repos, surtout dans vim. Je regrette un peu les voyelles à gauche de #bépo. E et T sous les majeurs me perturbent un peu. mais je suis motivé.

Ça y’est, j’ai mon clavier #dygma defy. Wow, c’est laborieux, je suis complètement paumé.

Je compte en profiter pour me mettre à #ergol. Vous avez des conseils pour un outil genre #klavaro ? Et surtout, des conseils pour commencer à utiliser son Defy ?

Je ne m’attendais pas à ce que ce soit si laborieux (mais je m’accroche) ;-)

I just had a thumb keycap on my https://dygma.com/pages/defy break w/ the stems stuck in the switch. Within 48 hours #Dygma requested everything they needed for the warranty -- which is 2 years -- and sent off a entire new set of thumb keycaps -- they have switched to a stronger material since my keyboard was made -- along with a couple new switches in case something else happens in the future.

I continue to be very happy with my Dygma Defy purchase! 😊

It’s the Golden Age of ergonomic #MechanicalKeyboards with dozens of companies making them

And there’s really no standards and not much data on how to find which different #ergonomics will work for each person

Probably a split board with tenting above 25° or so might be two key features

A lot of boards don’t tent that high, but I’m pretty sure it’s one of the few features that have actually been studied

I just love the freedom to work on @zenitizer from anywhere! Every key on the #Dygma boards is customizable

You can currently have ten “layers” of actions for each key, triggered by layer-shift keys

I’ve got layers with number pads and arrow keys

You can assign per-key RGBW led lighting to help indicate which layer you’re on and which keys you what

“This is my Num Pad Layer, those are the +-/* keys”

“That is my macro to type the 🪗 emoji”

I’ve got 90 gram resistance on most of my new #Dygma Defy keyboard keys (which is really heavy, to deal with a hand tremor)

But some of the pinky keys like Shift I’ve got down as low as 35 g to prevent fatigue for those weak fingers 🤙🏼

I’m getting it tuned like a hot rod, which is nice, because I basically can’t type on a normal keyboard due to my #disability

IT IS AMAZING 🤩 The build quality, the wonderful columnar layout with the super powerful thumb cluster keys, the wireless connectivity and built-in tenting capabilities. #Dygma really have outdone themselves here 👏

That would be frustrating

#Dygma hasn’t got the online swap-shop the #Moonlander people have, but it’s pretty easy to save and share the files with your layouts

I should at least try some concertina layouts on mine

Not sure how they would work

I got some white keycaps to mock up a chromatic #accordion layout on my #Dygma Raise just for fun

But not enough to get me playing

And the staggered keyboard is closer to a chromatic, button accordion then an ortholinear
