I don't want to minimize the serious issue we are going to have with moderating the fediverse. If moderation were easy we would have solved it by the time USENET Newsgroups went out of fashion. That said these are microcosms of the same problem faced on the big tech walled garden tech platforms like Twitter and Facebook as well. The difference between here and there is you can choose from thousands of instances or even have one of your own stood up. Tensions are higher than normal with all the transitions going on. We should try to treat good faith actors new and old here generously in their intentions but remember unlike every other social network in existence you aren't stuck at the mercy of one or a handful of people that own "the network". #TwitterMigration #MastodonMigration #Fediverse #moderation #ModerationErrors
