After some very long waiting to get the whole database transferred over the internet to the new #Linux server (it took like 10 hours to get all of it setup to perform the migration and upgrade) and a whole 'nother like 20 hours of skill issues making us question how tf we even became #sysadmin of this thing (turns out we somehow built the whole #Misskey without submodules and now we couldn't access the web frontend for a really long while and it left us scratching what the hell the cause could be)... ​:shinki_caramelldansen:​

#Makai is now fully back online! Thank you for waiting.. ​:sweaty_elly:​

We are now also on 2024.2.0 as well if you haven't noticed. So you (or rather, I because I have been waiting the most eagerly for this thing) can play the all-new #BubbleGame and #MisskeyReversi in #MisskeyGames! ​:ai_yaysuperfast:​

@yorigami There are "Pages" where you can do long-form blog posts, and "Galleries" where you can, well, put up image galleries ​:sagume_think:​

#Misskey recently got some new cool stuff called #MisskeyGames where you can play #BubbleGame (a #SuikaGame / #WatermelonGame clone) and #Reversi. A #Mahjong game is also planned in the next major release. We haven't upgraded our instance yet though (I think we will get the latest version either this Friday or next week, since we will be moving this server from #FreeBSD to #Linux), so they're not yet available here.

Migrating #Makai (makai.chaotic.ninja) from #FreeBSD to #Linux is now a plan approved by our head sysadmin

The FBSD will still remain for the #pubnix and rest of the services, but the Linux will now be hosting not just a #Minecraft (which is really the original purpose of this server) but also this #Misskey ​:cirno_fumo_yes:​

I can now finally play my #MisskeyGames here fr. This opens up a lot of opportunities (including opening up registrations in Makai to everyone via manual approval instead of invites), I'm very excited! ​:blobcathyper:​

The exception would be when the program displays a full screen of text and/or art that comes from the program. Then the copyright on that text and/or art covers the output. Programs that output audio, such as video games, would also fit into this exception.
