scour is a program that takes an input SVG file and removes unecessary elements. scour can remove whitespace, comments, metadata, and other elements which do not affect the rendered image. scour can also convert coordinates to percentage and reduce precision for even smaller outputs. Reduction rates of 3-4 times can be easily achieved.
