  1. I recently found out that playing #DecentSampler via a #Roland #GK3b MIDI bass pickup feels inherently cool to me, but probably in the audience nobody understands it or gives a shit about it. So why fight the 30msec tracking latency when I can just use a keyboard?

    It turns out however that #Carla as a plugin host together with Decent Sampler does not work like a #MidiExpander used to work in the old days. In fact, most hosts and plugins don't.

    There is no direct possibility to store presets associated with MIDI program numbers. I think there should be in the settings dialog of each plugin in Carla, but for the DecentSampler #VST3, there's nothing to activate.

    @falktx – how is this meant to be used?

    I wouldn't even need Program Change that much, it's just… I can't store presets in DecentSampler at all, since it relies 100% on the #plugin #host for managing this. So changes to sample sets like reverb settings are not persistent…

    What to do?
