  1. Q: What does one need to model cyclists' strategy and tactics in the Tour de France?
    A: Game theory!

    Spoiler:
«Running a pro cycling team is not cheap, so teams rely on sponsors for financial support. In return, sponsors expect their brands to be highlighted to the Tour's global TV audiences.»

  3. In this study, we compare the performance of 83 #MathematicalModels that can be used to estimate #ThermalPerformanceCurves across 2,739 datasets from a wide range of traits and taxa. We find substantial variation in model performance across thermal performance datasets.

Moreover, we show that it is not possible to accurately predict the most appropriate model for a given dataset on the basis of sampling resolution, trait type, or taxonomic information.

  5. #Introduction Hi folks, I am an incoming group leader the the Francis Crick Institute in London. My group will combine #MathematicalModels and #MachineLearning to learn how regulatory rules emerge from #ProteinStructure and how they govern #heterogeneity in dynamic cell responses.

If that sounds interesting and you are currently looking for a PostDoc position - we are hiring! crick.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/Ex
