I enjoy using the #macOS version of Manfred lately and have a lot of fun trying out the new fonts that come with the next release (like Comic Neue or Iosevka for example).

The #ManfredApp is now also available for #Android. Manfred is a cross-platform #MastodonClient which was initially published for #iOS and as a desktop app for #macOS. For now it is free.

It features:

- Configurable multi-column setup
- Multi-account support
- A focus mode (if you want to reduce distractions)
- Many timeline options and filters

I am still collecting feedback and I am open for your ideas.

And #Apple is fast with app reviews for #macOS these days… so v2.1.0 of the #ManfredApp was accepted and is rolling out to the AppStore. :pensive_party_blob:

However, the iOS/iPadOS version is still stuck in review for v2.0.0

#ManfredApp finally reached v2.0.0 and was released for #macOS today. There have been some great improvements and it comes with a lot of cool features. For example: you can now configure as many columns as you want for timelines, hashtags, lists, notifications and so on... and finally, push notifications (!!!) have found their way into Manfred. This has been really tricky, but it's done now. So grab your copy while it's hot. Version 2.1.0 has already been submitted to Apple. Kennt jemand eine 'brauchbare' Mastodon App für iOS?

Die App von Mastodon wurde verunglimpft - man kann keinen Text mehr selektieren und der Seitenrand ist reine Platzverschwendung, wobei man den Text gequetscht entziffern muss.

Manfred ist vom Design und Datenschutztechnisch OK, aber ein Foto zu vergrößern ist Geduld- und Glückssache und keine Textselektion, Rechtschreibung und Übersetzung.

Today version 1.0.9 of #ManfredApp (a #MastodonClient for #iOS, #iPadOS and #macOS) was released bringing you the following features:

- support for displaying quoted statuses
- auto-reload after posting a reply
- an option to disable animated avatars.
- some bug fixes.

Thank you for your feedback, especially to Markus Opitz for highlighting issues with quoted posts.

The upcoming release of #ManfredApp will also feature a timeline filter for bot statuses. It will also render a small bot indicator next to the username handle. :robotok: #MastodonApp

Thanks to @DavidRGardiner I was able to fix some issues in the #ManfredApp. I am currently testing the next release which will feature:

- Pasting images from the clipboard into posts
- Better scrolling experience in threads
- Stopping any video playback when leaving the app, because it would kill background music re-entering (there is still an issue with GIFs unfortunately).

I just pushed version 1.0.5 of #ManfredApp to the AppStore review for both versions (#iOS and #macOS)

What’s new in this version:
• Enhanced content sharing: Easily share posts directly from your timeline.
• Pinned posts now appear on profile views.
• Improved emoji picker: Selected text in a post is now pre-filled as a filter when adding custom emojis.
• Fixed: Selection handles no longer disappear when dragged in the post screen.

@manfred_app Leider bleibt die Funktion nicht, sondern muss jeweils manuell wieder aktiviert werden, wenn man #ManfredApp geschlossen hat

Version 1.0.3 of the #ManfredApp introduces a new configuration option for the mobile client (#iOS and #iPadOS). You can now choose whether links open in the system or in-app browser. Thanks to Markus for suggesting this feature. :mastodon:

Version 1.0.1 of #ManfredApp has just been released for #iOS and #macOS. It contains:

• Default Language Setting: You can now choose your default language in the app settings. Manfred will use this for new posts, and automatically switch to the language of a status when replying.
• Improved Scrolling Performance: Timeline navigation is now smoother and faster, especially when scrolling backward.
• Quick Follow: You can now follow users directly from the timeline.

The upcoming test releases (#iOS and #macOS) for #ManfredApp come with some bugfixes. They also add a menu entry to browse the privacy policy of the #Mastodon instanced your account runs on. I am currently working on adding push notifications and fixing an issue with 2FA logins (if you have that problem you need to navigate back, after submitting the one time password as a workaround until the issue is fixed). :mastodon_oops:
