I just want to power a thing I’m designing with 5V from a USB plug or a LiPO battery, and to charge the battery if the USB is plugged in. Now well down a huuuuuuge rabbit hole of data sheets and YouTube vids: Buck/boost converters, charge controllers, LDO regulators, and on and on. I would like to file a complaint, please. My battery drawer is... DEVOID OF AAA BATTERIES.

How can this have happened?! How can I fix stuff, if I have no proper batteries?

(Also, the box labelled 'AAA' is an imposter. Don't believe his lies. There are no AAA's.)

Had plans to make progress on both a new #hydroponics system and build/deploy a couple of new #LoRA sensors. Le sigh. Even after a whole pot of coffee I’m so fried the most I can do is to log in some the parts that arrived this week. #makerproblems
