In the latest #lifx saga update, the two new #lifxmini lights remain operational and on the the network. Perhaps the firmware update has helped. Also, randomly, I *found* another 4 lifx bulbs. 3 were in a drawer, one brand new and unopened, two others that were packed away after one of our various house moves. The other I discovered in a bedside table lamp, fitted there after being mistaken for a regular bulb.
I am sure these updates are fascinating. All spurred by the #homeassistant instance I stood up for an entirely different purpose, but which is now controlling 13 lifx bulbs and 2 #tplink switched plugs. And I’ve ordered a couple of #zigbee buttons & hub to use as physical bedside light switches.
It is nice to have all the lifx lights running again, especially the sunset and midnight triggers to bring on some ambient light, and the ‘movie night’ subdued lighting scene for, movie nights. -
In the latest fascinating update on my #lifxmini lamps, both the new lamps that were installed yesterday have now disappeared from the network (both #homeassistant & #lifx app). So that’s great.

The two replacement #lifx lamps are now fitted and hooked into the #homeassistant configs. So there are now 5 #lifxmini lamps in one scene, one of which will essentially factory reset if the power cuts out (non-optimal). I did purchase some neat plastic plates that go over the wall switch preventing accidental circuit switching - they are attached to the decora switch plate with magnets on the plate screws (non-affiliate link: https://a.co/d/aCrHV3D). Those work fine except evidently one of my switch plates is not flat, so that’s a future investigation.
