Thanks for speaking out. I voted against my MP Jagmeet Singh partly because he broke the coalition with Trudeau’s
Liberal Government while under threat from Poilievre’s Conservatives.Since then, none of my emails to my new #Burnaby #LiberalMP #WadeChang, whom my wife and I voted for, have received an actual reply.
Only an automated email stating “Due to the high volume of emails we receive, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding”, then silence for months.
This is not how democracy works. Liberals were not “gifted” a mandate to change the course of our entire country for decades to come, no matter how high their perceived threat of Trump.
#ClimateChange is a real and present threat that will last for generations to come. #Trump’s fascist regime is temporary and will fizzle out under the might of steadfast Americans fighting for truth, justice and their constitution.
We need not sacrifice our future generation’s environment for an inconsequential, childishly reactive old bully.
I honestly do appreciate your response, as I suspect there are a few other liberal supporters who do not align with Mark Carney’s ambitions.
It does help to hear from one who disagrees. Thanks for your ethical clarity, I commend your actions of defunding and resigning.
I too will be continuing my support of the NDP next election (as I’ve done for years before Poilievre), which almost can’t come too soon at this point.
