Happy to announce the publication in #Lexia of my paper on the #semiotics of #generative-literature on the example of #GPT-3 and the reception of the synthetically generated "op-ed" published in the Guardian 09/2020. Lotman’s concept of the #text and its #sociocommunicative functions offers a framework for understanding how and why the synthetic output may be interpreted as a human-written text.
