I spoke at our City Council meeting last night in support of protected bike lanes. At one point in a discussion of adding a crosswalk, our city's traffic engineer said he couldn't because it would reduce the Level of Service ( #LOS i.e. cars per hour). Evidently, LOS is important even if a few people have to die once in awhile. #BikeTooter #UrbanPlanning #LevelOfTrafficStress
