Leo Brouwer ist gestern 85 geworden. Spiele ich doch heute Abend mal eine seiner wunderbaren Etüden, und zwar aus den weniger bekannten neueren "Nuevos Estudios Sencillos" (2003) die Hommage an Sor. Habe vor vielen Jahren mal "Cuban landscape with rain" in einem Gitarrenquartett bei Jugend Musiziert gespielt. Tolles Stück! By the way, I feel the same way about supposedly simple pieces that I played for the first time years ago, e.g. Estudios Sencillos or Nuevos Estudios Sencillos by Leo Brouwer.
