Yesterday I deactivated a small account for Malta academic work. I discovered there is no actual delete link. I also discovered that Twtr makes no clear declaration to delete your data, only 'your account'. I have since found one form to make a request for GDPR 'right to be forgotten', from a 2 yo article. https://michae.lv/deleting-dms-from-twitter/

When did they announce that step? On which platform are they now? If they announced to greatly reduce -Twitter-X activity this would also be interesting.I am working on a list as a helper for that process.
