I was today years old when I realised that Johnny Pearson whose #KPM work I've loved for years and Johnny Pearson whose name pops up in the credits of #TOTP episodes through to around 80/81 were the same Johnny Pearson.

I'm British and of a certain age, so Heavy Action by Johnny Pearson will forever be associated with #Superstars on BBC and never the #NFL.

I’ve leaned into not using certain companies based on various social stances. For example, I will never own a Tesla because Elon is POS. Rarely though have I ever wanted to offer patronage for the same reason. Until #anytype #kpm #opensource #free. And they stand for something. Something I’m onboard with.

I'll start, here's a contemplative piece that I discovered somewhat recently. The KPM music library is a treasure trove but I didn't expect to come across something like this among the smooth jazz and new age stuff. Perfect for a relaxed Saturday morning while drinking coffee!

Been almost a year since I last posted about the fantastic Funky Fanfare by Keith Mansfield for the KPM music library, and since the #darts is on and the Sky Bet gambling ads are on and they're still using the tune, then why not mention it again?

I love this tune so much, but then I love almost all of KPM's output. Here's a video from 2018 in the British Library of Keith Mansfield leading an orchestra in a rendition of it.
