Well, kiddo's first week of school was great for them and very unlucky for me. I lost my wallet yesterday and got caught in a thunderstorm while walking over to pick them up.
But apparently, kiddo is extra good at maths (for pre-K). They were enthusiastically screaming out the answers to some simple addition questions. And they seem to generally be having lots of fun, which is the real goal for school at this age, honestly.
