  1. Can #AI help improve #argumentation courses?

Students learning English as a foreign language (#EFL) were randomly assigned to one of two #argumentMapping courses.

Both courses had the same instructor and used the same online collaborative argument mapping tool (#Kialo), but only one course trained students to prompt #OpenAI’s #chatGPT for assistance.

The class that used the #chatbot achieved more?

  3. In dieser schon etwas älteren #kialo Diskussion über potenzielle Wirtschaftsmodelle in freieren und solidarischeren Gesellschaften gibt es wieder etwas Bewegung. Gerne reinspringen und mitmachen. 🙂

  4. @hobson @woozle @dredmorbius @aral @bananarama actually, #kialo models the arguments as a directed acyclic graph, not as a tree: You can link arguments to multiple places. Only the visualization is a tree.

  5. @woozle @dredmorbius @aral @bananarama the GIGO can be v handled by moderators or algorithms outside of the #kialo visualization and social media app. The one assumption of kialo about the structure of knowledge and understanding that I don't like is the Tree structure rather than #graph. Bayesean graphs or knowledge graphs or logic graphs seem to match the way we #think better, especially for our #collectiveintelligence. IMHO. #JudeaPearl
