@backtoanalog Well, I may have just popped a cartridge immediately into the #Kaweco #Lilliput in brass... but I was working on the basis that they probably used their own blue ink to test it before selling, so it would probably be fine - or thereabouts!
On that note, I LOVE Kaweco's dispenser for half sized standard cartridges. But if they decide to make one in metal, rather than plastic, I'll love that even more...

I filled it with ink directly in the reservoir... I had a poor converter that wasn't really great.

I'd been very interested in the new blue Kaweco Sport Piston, as all the promo material portrayed it as a lovely dark blue-grey. But then I saw what looks to be its true colour & lost interest. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good looking pen, but the navy colouring isn't as interesting to me. I'll wait to see it in person.
The Titan looks great. I collect the "RAW" material Sports, but for £200 when the Majohn RS1 exists with a 14k nib for under £100 I can't justify it.

Der neue Füller kam mit einer F-Feder. Ich habe bisher immer die M-Feder in meinem #Kaweco Sport AL benutzt, hab aber auch eine F-Feder für diesen. Komme mit den F-Federn nicht so zurecht, villeicht liegt es auch daran dass ich Linlshänder bin. Ich schiebe ja die Feder anstatt sie zu ziehen.

About two years ago, I picked up a cheap #Fuliwen 015 #fountainpen in "Noble Golden" for the gimmicky fidget spinner cap. There was some sort of issue with the nib or feed because I could never get any ink out of it without furious tapping. The normal first line fixes (thorough cleaning, resetting the nib, flossing the tines, etc) didn't help at all. Since it was so cheap, I even experimented with trying to file the ink channel in the feed with the thinnest guitar nut file I could find. Still no luck. Since it was such a cheap pen, wasn't working, and had been irreversibly altered with questionable skill, I wasn't willing to sell it to offload it. I considered it garbage but I kept it all this time for some reason (novelty? goofiness?).
Then last month, I was putting in an order with #JetPens and decided to throw on a medium nib to replace the fine one on my Kaweco AC Sport. When my order came in, I went to swap the #Kaweco nibs and discovered that I had already, at some point, done so and had seemingly just forgotten to update my records. Oops.
An idea began to take shape. What if I took this new spare medium Kaweco nib I had and installed it on that old useless Fuliwen 015 I had somewhere? Maybe that would be the solution to the pen's dysfunctions. It wasn't a fit but, again, this was a cheap pen that I already considered trash... so I went to town with my rotary tool to widen the inside of the section. Eventually, I ground out enough material to get the Kaweco nib assembly to fit into the pen very tightly.
I installed a short cartridge I had lying around. The pen wrote great and kept writing and writing. It still wrote great the next day. I left it capped for five days and it still started up just fine. After thirteen additional days of non-use, it is still functioning great. I guess it has a pretty good seal despite its cheap, tacky appearance.
Anyway, that's my story about how I spent 2x the price of a pen on a new nib unit and "fixed" it. I now consider it a great little Frankenpen['s monster]. My only functional complaint is that it takes about four and a quarter turns to uncap it.

Llevaba un tiempo encaprichado con un reloj de bronce pero los precios están por encima de lo que estoy dispuesto a pagar. El bronce y el latón son materiales que me encantan porque están pensados para ir ganando belleza a lo largo de los años gracias a la pátina que van desarrollando. Una de mis plumas favoritas es precisamente una Kaweco de latón que en unos pocos años ya parece que lleva toda una vida conmigo.
Hace poco descubrí una marca de relojes china (orgullosamente china, de hecho, cosa que me gustó) que tenía relojes de bronce a precios muy razonables y decidí darme el capricho. El reloj me parece precioso y estoy deseando que vaya envejeciendo para que lo sea todavía más. Además de ser bonito por fuera por dentro lleva un movimiento automático Seiko NH35 así que podemos suponer que será bastante fiable. Hace unos días comenté que me había comprado una Kaweco Perkeo. Me fascinan las estilográficas económicas, especialmente las que tienen una buena calidad.
Aunque mi marca favorita es Lamy, tengo otras que me dan muy buen resultado. Por ejemplo tengo una Kaweco Sport que siempre ha funcionado de maravilla, y eso me llevó a querer probar este modelo algo más largo y adecuado para mí mano.
Como tuve que salir de viaje no pude probar la pluma, un proceso que se disfruta más si es pausado. Pero le hice algunas fotos y con la App "InShot" he hecho estos mosaicos en los que podéis ver algunos detalles y una comparación de tamaño con una Faber-Castell "Hexa" y una Lamy "Safari".
Cuando la entinte y haga la prueba de escritura tendréis cumplido informe. 🖊️

Today I bought my first #fountainpen since decades and it shall be one of my daily drivers from now on.
It's a #Kaweco #Lilliput stainless steel fine.
However, due to my advanced #PIM processes, I rarely write things down on #paper.
I'd love to do so much more if there would be a great #FOSS solution for offline #handwriting #OCR. That would be a great investment by the #stationery industry! 🤔
It still offers better solutions compared to my #Boox #NoteAir #eink tablet.
