James Rollins’ „Das Erzengel Komplott“ überzeugt laut Rezensent Carsten Kuhr mit Action, Mythos und Wissenschaft. Eine spannende Reise von der Arktis bis zu historischen Geheimnissen wie Hyperborea.

Reading Black Order by James Rollins (Sigma Force #3)—a thrilling adventure that weaves in quantum evolution and physics. Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle? Schrödinger’s Cat? My brain is simultaneously understanding and not understanding. 🐱⚛️ Highly recommend! #QuantumReads #JamesRollins #SigmaForce

Yesterday I finished "The cradle of ice" by James Rollins. It's his second book in the Moon Fall series. It's more of a fantasy saga, so quite a bit different than his science related suspense thrillers about Sigma Force. I really like the series even though I'm not a big fantasy fan. It's still a rich tapestry that you can get lost in, like Herbert or Tolkien.
Here's the description from BARD:
The cradle of ice DB114604
Author: Rollins, James
Reading Time: 26 hours, 27 minutes
Read by: Nicola Barber
Subjects: Fantasy Fiction, Suspense Fiction
"To stop the coming apocalypse, a fellowship was formed. A soldier, a thief, a lost prince, and a young girl bonded by fate and looming disaster. Each step along this path has changed the party, forging deep alliances and greater enmities. All the while, hostile forces have hunted them, fearing what they might unleash. Armies wage war around them. For each step has come with a cost—in blood, in loss, in heartbreak. Now, they must split, traveling into a vast region of ice and to a sprawling capital of the world they've only known in stories. Time is running out and only the truth will save us all." -- Provided by publisher. -

Part 2 of my #introduction ; I call it Stuff I Dig. I’m drawn to the #natural #sciences and like to #learn. My #reading lately is #scifi and I’m focused on #JamesRollins and #RobertJordan. My #writing lately is a mix of dry nonfiction and what I call Dark Americana. I’m old so I watch #jeopardy religiously. I also appreciate #Andor and all #StarWars content. I try not to bellyache too much about everything being a remake; instead I try to appreciate #art that is new and original. Yes every possible story has already been told, but tell it in your own way FCOL. I’m a relative #ludite and #loner compared to most netizens. A perfect day for me is spent mostly alone on my #bicycle. Life is best when it’s nice and #boring. But I still enjoy a bit of friendly chit chat especially with people I’d not be likely to encounter IRL.
