I wonder that there seem to be so few #ISMB2026 posts on here, usually a massive #ComputationalBiology conference, despite a good #bioinformatics pool of posters here.

Is it a Mastodon European skew? And/or privacy/visa/travel fears attending the #ISMB conference in Washington under the second Trump administration? I personally wouldn’t willingly travel to the USA for now even if I had a travel budget to cover it 🤷‍♂️

Also exploring #ISMB as the mega conference of choice - I'm completely bummed out on ASM after this year's travesty. I'm not taking the best step forward this year, but I'm hoping this one works out...

In DC again for #ISMB #BOSC. DC metro is certainly something else. Some of the entryways basically look like bunker entrances.

Also, the platform's air conditioned. Something NYC will never have for many reasons har har.
