I can't advertise this guy enough.
Adamhm on GOG forums makes Wine scripts for games to play on Linux. You just download the script, extract it, put the install files in the new directory and then run the sh file. Boom, now you have a selfcontained wine prefix, you can copy anywhere. Save files are in your ~/.local/share/gamename directory as every sane software setups do.
