Hello everyone! The Interactive Fiction Club just released our first podcast dedicated to the Infocom classic, Planetfall! I hope you all enjoy! https://anchor.fm/interactivefictionclubpod #Incofom #infocomodon #IF #interactivefiction #Podcast #ifclub

Talking Planetfall in the Interactive Fiction Club today and one of the things I absolutely adore about Steve Meretzky and his strengths is the ability to create a space that feels real and lived in, without it feeling bloated or make you scratch your head contemplating if the space is important to solve a puzzle.
I also really love his desire to include some sort of compendium of knowledge players can access.

Extremely sick and unable to sleep. Guess it's time to fire up Planetfall a little early for the Interactive Fiction Club! This version was made by @spacehobo and it is gorgeous. It's a shame I'm playing it on my phone!

Alright, getting things ready for an interactive fiction club! If folks are interested, I think we can start December off with a classic infocom game, Planetfall. I've got a discord up & running, which folks can join, here https://discord.gg/cf69sWjEE5
It's not mandatory, but if you are interested, you can also just join the discussion here on Mastadon with the hashtag #ifclub The club will rotate each month between a classic text adventure snd a more modern interactive fiction

So would anyone be interested in having an infocom game club? One that is dedicated to playing strictly old text adventures of the infocom/Legend Entertainment era monthly and talking about it?
