In episode 14 we exapt an old #shadowrun term for newbies entering the #fediverse who may be experiencing #dumpshock and we draw together the threads from earlier episodes on the #audiencecommodity and #socialmedia to talk about that new user experience.
In 2023, for a lot of #internet users, they no longer have a frame of reference of what an ad-free internet might be like.
I liked this one a lot; it was fun to bring the threads together.

We contrast the utopic vs dystopic tendencies in the discussions framing the #technology , with a parallel trend of viewing the tech as either emancipatory or controlling.
We outline some of the positive use cases for AI tools reported at that time, and argue for an #empathetictech view

Alright, after a little bit of work, it seems I've finally got the issues resolved with #Applepodcasts and the #implausipod should be propagating through to the various apps that rely on #Apple for their feed.
So yay!
(Never going to be on #Spotify though, for reasons. IYKYK.)
And realizing I'm probably the worst at hyping up my own stuff, I'll walk through the episodes since the soft-relaunch with Episode 8 back in July.
