A guy on several of my discords is designing an rpg. But they are new to RPGs and only really played D&D.

So of course their system is a Heartbreaker. But unlike most, this is a GURPS heartbreaker. Not that the mechanics are anything in common, just the design goals are the same. A generic modular ruleset to handle any type of game.

But they’ve got combat in segments and if you speak a word in combat it slows your actions down. Way too fiddly.
