A customer in #ClemsonSC had shutters that hadn't had any attention since the house was built, so they were sun-bleached and a bit tired-looking, especially on the southern side of the house where they have the most exposure. After some cleaning-up and repainting, it's a night/day difference what it looks like from the curb!

A couple of days back the middle shelf of Penny's cat condo broke after months of our heavy kitty jumping back and forth to get to the outside cat-toilet on the cage floor. Today I repaired it, and added reinforcing at strategic joints. We have only one cat, but she is no featherweight.
Tonight we are resting from our labours and I managed to get a good shot of her nestled into my armpit, where she is chasing prey in her sleep as I type this post one-handed.

A regular customer in Pendleton is doing a DIY bathroom remodel and contacted Tuxedo Home Maintenance to assist with installing vinyl plank (LVP) flooring over the stained concrete floor, along with assembly and installation of the vanity and base moulding. The new section of the room is going to be a dressing/makeup alcove and as you can see, it will be a very nice space!

A customer in Anderson had a walk-shower with damaged and dirty grout in the floor tiles. We came in and removed the old grout and caulk used to repair previous cracking and damaged joints and then installed new grout along with a sealer to avoid future staining, mold and discoloration. The new grout certainly makes the floor look brand new!

The cats are happier now that there isn't a 14"x14" hole in the kitchen wall. Mainly because they are now allowed back in the kitchen. I know at least one of them would have used it to visit the nice men putting siding on the house otherwise.

A customer in Anderson recently had some plumbing repairs done to their house that required the old brick sidewalk to be taken apart. They called us to repair the sidewalk to working order: we reassembled the bricks, tuck pointed the joints and now nobody can tell the sidewalk was ever apart!

We had a recent customer in #Clemson who needed to prevent birds from nesting atop the ledges of her front porch columns. We built ramps that make it unpleasant for birds to perch there, let alone build a nest. Owning a house means you need to learn how to maintain it. It has been colder than usual, and we were hearing this rattling and squeaking sound coming from our air filtration and warming engine. Opened it up, years of grease and dust inside this machine 😅 cleaned it up, closed and we now just hear this very faint hum. Luckily, no frost as this is water tight and the intake keeps temperatures balanced despite being -16C outside.

You ever fix something and realize just how janky everything is holding together?
We have a couple doors in our house that have always sagged and wiggled when you moved them. I finally learned how to fix this problem and did it last night. The first one someone tried to hold up with machine screws. And the second the screws were so short they did not touch the frame… they only made it into the door jam, which is a soft almost cardboard like interior.

We had a customer with a wood-grain entryway that was experiencing deterioration of the finish as well as wood rot. Since it was a multi-process project, it took a few days to complete but the result is a beautiful, rich wood finish that truly sets off the front of the house.

Our client has a new house in Seneca and she wasn't pleased with the wire shelving the developer had installed in the kitchen pantry. Tuxedo Home Maintenance removed all the wire shelving, filled the holes left behind from the wire shelving brackets, then installed sturdy and solid melamine shelves.
