A fabulous day in Somerset - Bittern, Hobby, Swift, House Martin, Garganey amongst 44 species at RSPB Ham Wall; Wood Sandpiper at Tealham Moor. Good company and great birding.
Great White or Great White Egret (depending on where you come from) with gorgeous breeding season green lores 😀. And some Sand Martin zipping about.

An amazing visit to the Ham Wall reserve today in #Somerset Fifty-two species of #birds in sunshine. My first Garden Warbler, Lesser Redpoll, Hobby and Common Swift of the year. Great views of Marsh Harrier, Ruff, Spotted Redshank, Great Egret, Cetti's Warbler. Fabulous day out.

This was my first one, at #RSPB #HamWall almost a decade ago. Ham Wall is famous for its starling flocks in winter but is also great for dragonflies in summer. #wildlife #insects #wildlifephotography #Somerset
