  1. NAAZ (LIVE) SUPPORTED BY: MAYA MARIA

Skatecafe Karin & Yvonne, Thursday, May 28 at 07:00 PM GMT+2

Naaz is a Dutch-Kurdish singer, producer and writer from the Netherlands. Growing up in a refugee household, she found an outlet in writing songs from an early age, many now tattooed on her body as symbols of freedom. Self-taught in writing, producing and composing, she released her debut project Bits of Naaz from her bedroom and has since toured Europe four times. With her unique blend of English and Kurdish music, she earned praise from icons such as Elton John and Lana Del Rey.

In 2020, Naaz chose to step away from the music industry. Three years later, she returned with Never Have I Ever, her highly acclaimed debut album that marked both an artistic and personal rebirth. With her first Kurdish alt-pop single Azadi, she made a bold statement: the track became an activist anthem for women’s rights worldwide, especially in the Middle East. Through it, Naaz further proved the power and importance of her outspoken voice in music.

She went on to win awards for her music and self-directed visuals, and also signed a book deal for her first novel. Beyond the pop world, Naaz has been embraced in both the literary and orchestral spheres, often invited to perform her music with full orchestras. Celebrated for her openness about autism, diaspora and staying authentic in an unpredictable industry, Naaz continues to innovate her sound with each new project.

In 2025, she released the self-produced EP Read Me, further cementing her artistry and paving the way for her sophomore album, set for release in 2026 under Believe Music. With authenticity and artistic vision, Naaz continues to mesmerize audiences in her own way.

MAYA MARIA sways with the waves of womanhood within the refuge of her own voice." MAYA MARIA, sprouted from the sands of Terschelling, is the kind of artist who both emotionally disarms and challenges you. In her fusion of Alt-R&B and Artpop, she seeks to explore the contrast between the natural and the artificial, weaving her story, vision, and emotions into music and visuals.

murmur, Saturday, June 20 at 06:00 PM GMT+2

for the evening rik tan, gia nunez and aram mukanay come together with their selections.
Talking about eclectic DJs, Rik Tan stands out as a selector with a strong focus on global sounds within a club context. His sets move effortlessly between Cape Verdean rhythms, Brazilian influences, Afro, Latin, and electronic dance music, creating a distinctive style built on groove and rhythm.
As a resident at Tempo Não Para, a platform celebrating music from different cultures, Rik’s approach is rooted in connection rather than genre boundaries. He blends warm percussion, danceable electronics, and organic rhythms into cohesive, flowing journeys on the dancefloor.
His selections feel playful yet intentional, always leaving room for surprise without losing momentum. Rik Tan is known for his open musical vision and his ability to bring different worlds together in a single set.
For the past 16 years, Giu Nunez has been shaping a distinctive sound through deep vinyl digging and an eclectic approach to mixing genres. Starting her career at 18, her curiosity and versatility quickly made her a standout name in Brazil’s electronic scene and beyond, including a headline appearance at Amsterdam Dance Event.
Now based between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, she is part of the Domply collective, exploring experimental and electronic music through parties and radio shows worldwide.
Amsterdam-based Aram Mukanay brings the groove wherever he goes. His sound dives deep into early ’80s boogie, dubby disco, and soulful house. Whether it’s a dusty boogie cut or a dreamy house track, one thing ties it all together: the funk. Expect slick basslines, disco divas, and percussive rhythms. Always smooth, always moving.
