A green bug (nezara viridula) poses for the photo at sunset. I am struck by the size of that kind of proboscis or sucking mouthparts with which it sucks the sap from the plants and which it folds under its body. Some of you may have experienced the very strong odor emitted by its scent glands when disturbed.

Una chinche verde (nezara viridula) posa para la foto al atardecer. Me llama la atención el tamaño de esa especie de trompa o aparato bucal picador-chupador con el que succiona la savia de las plantas y que repliega bajo el cuerpo. Alguno de vosotros habrá experimentado el fortísimo olor que emiten sus glándulas olorosas cuando se les molesta.

I finally learned that it is the same insect.
Green bugs (Nezara viridula) are not always green. They are in different stages of development before they become adults.
These photos were taken with an iPhone 13 mini and a lens removed from binoculars.

It doesn't look like it, but it is the same insect in both photos. The green bug (Nezara viridula) is not always green and goes through five stages of development. The ones that are grouped together are in the third stage. The other one, almost adult, is in the fifth stage, and still has a dark area and some dots. iPhone 13 + macro lens.

No lo parece, pero es el mismo insecto en ambas fotos. La chinche verde (Nezara viridula) no es siempre verde y pasa por cinco fases de desarrollo. Las que están agrupadas están en la tercera fase.
