We are quite fortunate in #Exeter. We have bad light pollution but can still make out bright objects. In fact, my good friend @rieder managed to fight through the light pollution in #Exeter to get some stunning views of the Galilean Moons during the #greatconjunction of #jupiter and #saturn in 2020. With the exposure turned back up, you can see the 4 Galilean moons of Jupiter and a 5th moon that I think might actually be Saturn's moon Titan?

A fun fact: Jupiter is about 800 million km away right now. Saturn is another 800 million km farther away than that. They look close from our vantage point but they are not close.

@futzle I snapped off one frame before it sank below the mountains.

200mm f/1.8 but as you can see, my exposure wasn't great, and the focus probably isn't fantastic either. Mind you, planets is really pushing the resolving power of that lens wide open.
