  2. Everyone loves a good #gource #visualisation but with previous ones I've run on #qemu it does get quite busy. Over the weekend I discovered you can filter the output so here is my personal contribution history: youtube.com/watch?v=xFqDU3mn3J

I need to work out how to include the wider team I work with but so far it looks like the author filter ignores email addresses. I guess I need to brush up on my C++ skills and dive into the tree when I have some spare time. #youtube

  3. 📜 Oyez, oyez, la vidéo récapitulative des contributions 2023 est sortie (en vitesse x1,5 c'est mieux) : youtube.com/watch?v=cHQzkNkLeW

  4. New blog post: animating source code evolution

    underlap.org/animating-source-

Features contributions by @nebhale, @twoseat, @fbiville, @carolynvs and many other friends and colleagues, plus probably thousands of total strangers.

  5. @Natanox Just found #Gource github.com/acaudwell/Gource

It's not a plugin - but looks interresting.

First Test: Shows my Code-History as A Tree. Little Figure Symbole floats around, highlighting files as time flies by... Fun.

    Thanks for the input :yayblob:

  6. 👨‍💻 Aujourd'hui, on vous emmène sous le #GéoCapot !

Le site étant basé sur #Git, on peut utiliser #Gource pour visualiser les contributions.
    @geojulien a documenté la recette :

  7. @[email protected] @jamesrylandmiller In this other visualization each edge dot is a file, each branching dot is a directory and each beam is a commit to org files (i have automatic commits setup for the repositories involved here) I have under version control. Unfortunately this history is not all encompassing as I have org-files all over, not all are version controlled and the ones that are weren't version controlled since inception. youtube.com/watch?v=b7y0y6sWb2I

  8. Checkout what 4 years of activity on version controlled emacs org-mode based knowledge management looks like.

  9. The passbolt repo has never looked cooler! 😎

Check out this Gource animation visualizing all the activity the passbolt api repository has gotten in just a few months!

All that community collaboration and open-source magic in action warms our hearts. 🖤

  10. And absolutely finally finally - trust me to find out if your project has a healthy, cooperative community or is a one-man-show by a disgruntled graybeard who hates everyone and the kitchen sink ;) I really don't need a Code of Conduct to find that out. A short look at the commit history (I'll maybe hunt it through #gource for a nice graphic short movie) will tell me all I need to know about the health of your community ;)

  11. Have been experimenting with various settings for #gource to visualize the last year of #qemu development. Apologies for the bury video but I was trying to keep the size down.

  12. Just published a small console app to download gravatar images of a list of mails-and-names. I use this when I make #gource visualisations of source-code history:

  13. #Gource is an amazing tool to visualize the history of your code project!

Are there ways to visualize and celebrate the important #NonCodeContributions?

  14. is a source repository visualizer.

Gource scans a git, SVN, etc. source repository and produces a graph visualization of how the project evolved over time. Authors are represented by flying actors beaming code into the project, directories with leaves, and files as small nodes. Gource supports bloom, scrubbing, custom theming, and specific timeframes to be graphed.

  15. J’aime bien #Gource 😊
    (C’est un visualiseur de dépôts #Git ☺)
C’est plus joli qu’utile, mais ça fait toujours plaisir ☺
