🔍 Size is relative!
Seals may generally be small objects, but “small” can mean very different things! Some seals are barely larger than a fingernail, while others look like giants next to them. 🤏 ↔️ ✋
The two seals shown here both date to the Akkadian period and both depict the Sun God ☀️. They are housed in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg.
