Also, yea, #Glenlivet 12 is clearly telling me why it was recommended as a "standard", "goto budget #Scotch".
Is it bad? Not at all. Is it good? Eh. It's Scotch #whisky? As in, it tastes like the Platonic ideal of a 40% ABV Scotch: nothing more, nor less.
I'll finish the bottle…eventually? (Or give it to my whiskey-newbie sister, who might appreciate it more 🤔 Or bring it to Christmas and leave it at Dad's for the occasional visit.)

Checked the ABV on a just-opened bottle of #Glenlivet 12 #Scotch #whisky, to see whether I want to prepare the water dropper.
It's 40%, to which I whispered to myself, "well, no need to add water, this practically IS water!"

Nicht die allerbeste Flasche im Regal, aber gerade sehr passend. Fast so passend wie das Glas zum Inhalt.

#Glenlivet "Founder's Reserve" bleibt beeindruckend mehrheitsfähig
glaube nicht dass ich mir eine zweite Flasche davon zulegen würde - dafür fehlt ihm einfach eine Spur mehr Character
evtl. ein guter Einsteiger-#Whisky

#Whisky - Mut zum Unbekannten!
Ich wählte doch den #Glenlivet, nicht den (sehr guten, aber bereits mehrfach nachgekauften) #Talisker Dark Storm.
Stilecht aus dem Talisker-Glas - relativ kräftig, sehr lecker, es fehlt noch der letzte Kick um einprägsam zu bleiben, aber definitiv einer der besseren Whiskys.

#Dufftown #Singleton war nicht mein lieblings-#Whisky, aber ziemlich angenehm und eher mild
Jetzt darf ich beim nächsten Mal endlich wieder was neues öffnen!
Eher #Glenlivet Founders Reserve oder doch bekannt großartigen #Talisker Dark Storm?
